As of today, YarnLab has a mannequin and some supplies for someone fabricating a metal outfit. They thought the head and hands looked kinda creepy on the mannequin (agreed, tbh) so now they're just hanging out face-palming on the table with the knitting needles and zines and it's great. #DHmakes

Pros and cons of the Portland Frog hat pattern:
- Pro: super bulky yarn means you can easily whip it up in one evening.
- Con: size 15 needles is like knitting with Duplos and I hate how it feels.

Halloween Eve was spent at the laser cutter turned armory. Bonus Kid 2 just had to be Zorro from One Piece, which requires three swords; another sword for his brother; and I whipped up a quick Minecraft bow for the local tween's exceedingly obscure Discord in-joke costume. #DHmakes

It is done! I knit a budget sweater for the first 7 years of the Textile Makerspace. One row in bright red, full circumference is $2k. Black lines are year dividers. The sleeves are paid student labor, with hours worked in brown. Sleeve on left is color coded by pronouns, right by gender. #DHmakes

Managed to #DHmakes even a meeting on technical web standards yesterday. 🥰 I knit my way through the day, briefly derailed the discussion on AI preference labeling with people sharing pictures of their craft creations, and by the end of the happy hour there was a group chat to plan a craft meetup.

Had some more success crocheting with wax wire today and tried a little YarnLab piece. And I'm very happy with how the carved rings turned out! An excellent weekend of #DHmakes and practically no computers. 🥰
