What Christmas gifts are you quilting or sewing for people this year? Pillowcases are hot in my area, as well as bowl cozies and tote bags.

Makes sense that we're heading into the period of time where people with the highest childhood blood lead levels are in the positions of highest authority
We all have lead poisoned brains

Did you guess we had another delivery today? Yep. The one time I place an order (last Wednesday I think) and it comes right away.

Had a beginner quilt class a couple weeks ago, and here's two student finishes! I like doing shorter classes with easier projects for a quicker finish. :) Both students here are now on their second quilt.

Bonus question: do you like doing the 3 yard quilts?

Omg all four delivery companies have shown up today. Not at once, but soon enough I asked one guy if he hid around the corner and waited until the other truck left.

I’m reading a book about sewing and it has me in stitches.
I’m reading about about glitter and arms, it’s pretty humerus

An unmasked woman cornered me sitting by myself to talk to me (briefly unmasked sipping on coffee) to apologize about being sick and attending this conference anyway.

We are a profoundly confused collective.

You gently run your hand through the rack. You can feel it—pure cotton, rich wool, Irish linen. The plump buttonholes are handsewn; the buttons attached with a firm shank. You flip the price tag over. It's affordable

You buy the jacket and go home, which is only 15 mins away. Your apt is $600/month

Fabric rep was here and let me tell you…. The prices are going to be insane next year assuming some shops actually buy that high. Said no to almost all of it. Like flat out nope.

Customer was in today showing her quilt she finished, then she said she was off to mail it. I reminded her there’s a postal strike. “But not for parcels???”

… that is what a strike means, ma’am.
