They keep following me, lol... They've done this five times tonight now.
I'm calling them out on their bullshit. Do not use this service at all. I'm blocking them now and their BS "support" account

Despite the tippers paying the fee, 15% is a LOT...
Ko-fi takes 5%, but on shop sales, not tips.
Vgen takes 5% of commissions. That's very reasonable imho.
And since Stripe is connected, Stripe might take a cut, I THINK... so it might not even be true.

Listen, if I'm wrong I'm wrong, if anyone has used them before, give me clarifications on their process. Right now I feel like they just want to take money from artists and their supporters...
I don't see any credits for an artist on the mascot either.

Artist beware, do not use the website "MyTipMe"
Noticed their mascot looked off, they are not NSFW friendly, and they take 15% (tippers pay the fee, but that still feels off to me.) They're partnered with Stripe, and I know fees exist on other platforms I am just very wary about all of this.

The scam website that is trying to steal money from artists is back, new logo and... very hastily made website.
Be wary of them, block and report and warn other artists.

I bet even if some GOP Rep or Senator finally got the balls to demand a vote on an AUMF and the White House didn't get it they'd make some legal argument that the War Powers Resolution didn't really matter that the Supreme Court would uphold (and possibly not even entirely be wrong), so, yippee.

I was going to type something out about "is literally *anyone* going to ask what AUMF this is all under because if we're not at the 60-day mark from this shit starting we have to be close," but what does it matter when the GOP-led Congress is just a rubber stamp Reichstag right now?

just in case, i'll make it clear - my problem is not that they're asking, it's that the info is easily accessible in multiple articles, and i'm not gonna waste my time trying to educate you

(especially since they followed up with "agree to disagree")
*talking about E33 interviews in a stream*
The main issue is that they used GenAI at all in the STARTING PROCESS, not that it leaked into the final product.

Rando scrub: "Can you tell me exactly in what article where they said they used it?"

???? ... I fucking can't with some people, man

Extinction is forever. If we’re to have any hope for the future of nature, we have to learn to grieve. Experience, knowledge, culture, ways of being we can only now touch through tooth and bone, they cannot be replaced.

My @slate.com essay on de-extinction is one of their top stories of the year.
Those Dire Wolves Aren’t an Amazing Scientific Breakthrough. They’re a Disturbing Symbol of Where We’re Heading.
We shouldn’t be celebrating “de-extinction.” We should be focused on the species that are currently in danger.

The focus is on the consent of the fictional character which rings all the same alarm bells for me that are associated with the demand for consent from an illustration-- it's concerning that this is the angle instead of, say, using AI to remove a real person's clothing. Thin edge of the wedge.
"And I never say no"

We need to have a serious talk about the way "AI companion" apps not only prey on the vulnerable, but are priming their users to ignore consent and to conflate love with control.

We need AI regulations across so many sectors, but this area is particularly horrifying.

My kneejerk reaction was to grab a pitchfork too, but as much as I despise AI, you are totally right that this could be easily hijacked as an excuse for more porn bans.

The way political winds are blowing, chances are such a push would lead to 0 AI regulation, 100% porn and kink criminalization.

I’m nervous that a politician calling for regulation because “what if the AI doesn’t consent” could end badly, in the same way that SB 20 remains a dangerous time bomb for Texas. Is there a major difference between saying this about AI and saying this about an immersive noncon video game?

Texas' SB 20 is about AI, but the wording and lettering of the law means it theoretically has a FAR greater domain of influence. It's really important that people have sharp and precise concerns with AI, regulation needs to be done with a scalpel and not a chainsaw

My mentality about it has been like... "well I was happy with ten likes on my work back then why would I not be happy with ten likes on my posts now?"

But for real, thankfully I get just as much traffic (or more) to my patreon/fo-fi which is actually what funds me and not free engagement.
Oh my god bruh you only have 300 followers here, of course you’re not getting as much engagement
