Smilla’s Sense of Snow is an all time favorite in-theater memory. I saw it on film at a ratty second-run theater way back when. Post-climax, almost at the end, in a scene of sweeping, desolate ice and snow, the film caught, melted, and burned. Spectacular visuals, highly recommend.
