One of the best things about being an artist and a DM is that I get to have fun spamming character designs and my players have some visual reference for what I'm describing.

I'm honored to say Liatail made it to 2nd place, while Walpritee sadly couldn't make it to top 50. I think I need to push the fantastical elements more.

A Pokedex page for the Fakemon "Liatail" shows a menacing-looking shark-like creature with a broad tail that mimics a much larger predator. to its left is a golden and silver shiny coloring for it. It's listed as the "deceitful fish Pokémon" and is a Water and Dark type with a stat spread focused heavily on Attack and Speed while leaving it quite frail. Its abilities are Armor Tail and a new, fake ability: False Face, which heightens the Liatails evasiveness 30% until it is hit for the first time in a battle. Its hidden ability is Intimidate. It's Pokedex entry reads: "It shakes its tail to make other Pokémon believe it's a separate, imposing threat. Then, it strikes by turning its real head around swiftly. Once Liatail's ruse is discovered, it looks for an opportunity to dart away." A Pokedex page for the Fakemon "Walpritee" shows a fluffy mammalian creature that is applying a pink pigment to its cheeks. Beside it is a pastel-colored Shiny palette for it. It's listed as "The Beautician Pokémon" and is a Normal and Fairy type. It has a fairly even stat distribution except for an extremely low attack stat. Its abilities are Pastel Veil and Dazzling, while it has a new, fake hidden ability called "Skin Care". This hidden ability gives the Pokémon a 50% chance of clearing the Burned condition from itself or an ally on the field with it and also negates the damage buff Fire type moves receive in sunny weather. Its Pokedex entry reads: "In ancient folktales, it's said the very first Walpritee painted the distinctive patterns and markings of all other Pokémon. It uses clay, dirt, and flowers expertly to produce all manner of pigments and ointments."

A Pokedex screen shows "Vangalago", a Fakemon that looks like an upright Lemur wearing a hoodie and lifting up one long-fingered hand. It has a snobbish attitude to it and four of its fingers are dripping with black, magenta, cyan, and yellow pigments respectively. It's said to be the "Toxic Lemur Pokémon", a Normal and Poison Type that evolves from Grafaiai. It has a 540 base stat total distributed mostly to its Attack and Speed stats, has the abilities Unburden and Poison touch as well as Prankster as its hidden ability. It's PokéDex entry reads: "Through arduous practice, Vangalago learned to produce an entire spectrum of pigments and honed its artistry. It's rather prideful of its achievements."

An old (2022) #Fakemon line that's a redesign of an even older (2015) one haha. I know we have the big fella Buzzwole, but I had the idea of an "evil devil mosquito" for so long I wanted to give it a go.

This version includes a Bulbapedia-style base stat distribution chart, boasting 50 HP, 120 Attack, 40 Defense, 90 Special Attack, 55 Special Defense, and 145 Speed for a total of 500. The sheet also includes Shiny forms which shift the reds and yellows to blue and cyan while the teal of the original palette turns red.
