It was a paper lab just to brush up on math skills. One section was solving equations for specific variables, simple algebra stuff. One equation was temperature conversions, solving “° C = K - 273.15” for K. They didn’t know how. College-age adults, some majoring in health related pre-professions.

I tried so hard to help that girl in chem lab. So. Hard. But there was just no background in anything beyond pre-algebra. I can’t explain scientific notation if someone doesn’t know what exponents are. She wasn’t the only one struggling with basic math at my table either.

I was aware that education today is in a pretty bad state because my baby sister is a high school senior this year and has told me about her peers, and my 20-something coworkers have a lot of gaps in knowledge, but I had no idea it was this fucking dire.

Finally, my first and only jewel set, Elixer. It fits into the purple dice pattern, but I have no idea where I’d use this combination of dice haha.

But finally-finally, the bonus mint d20. It’s a nice soft color, but mine looks a little more blue imo.

Next up is Lunaris. This is only the second lucky bag I’ve gotten from Dispel (the other was Gothic Cathedral) but I seem to mostly get purple sets from them. Not complaining though, since purple is my favorite color and I have a couple characters who have purple as their main palette color.

First of the lucky bag sets, City Pop. This is a set I would have never bought on my own, but I actually have a character whose dice palette is mostly rainbow sets, so that’s a win I think.

Aaaaand I did manage to get one of the lucky bags. I got two 7-piece sets and a jewel set, and somehow, the bag truly was lucky and I didn’t have any of these yet.

Next up, the Pointy Hat collab set, Arcane Constellations. I totally don’t have too many celestial-themed dice sets for my stars druid (I might be getting to the point where I have close to too many sets for said druid).

Dispel time! The “tentacle kitten” tote and set is up first. Displacer beasts are my favorite DnD monster, so of course I waited in line for over an hour for this.

Next, the Ravenloft thing continues with the DnD 50th anniversary I-6 set. The set minus the big D20 is kinda boring but it’s worth it for the box and coin imo.

First up, the yearly CC set. The purple is translucent and while I wasn’t able to curate, I did grab one with some really nice windows.
