We advocate for Qld & Aust law reform to: Improve access to Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD); Widen eligibility criteria for VAD; & Allow Telehealth for VAD. We also aim to provide resources to educate Australians about their legal end of life options.

The House of Lords "must be one of the few in which membership can be bought and is therefore blatantly corrupt."

"The Lords’ composition is indefensible and its powers anti-democratic."

And the UK terminally ill are now bearing the brunt of this epic tragedy.

B6 toxicity is a concern.

The review included 248 public submissions. It said 103 people reported "severe, sometimes permanent, health effects from vitamin B6 toxicity", including peripheral neuropathy, nerve damage, muscle weakness, "and significant impacts on daily life and employment".

Maybe the House of Lord Mucks should go, and a Senate elected by the people replace it. Might be better than a bunch of birth right nobility.

- Says the ex convict trash from the former colony Australia. 🤣🤣🤣
“If they continue to push against the expressed will of the democratic majority, the Lords may find that it is their own future which becomes the question.”
Christine Jardine MP joins many arguing that time-wasting tactics risk tarnishing the House's reputation.

Liberal Susan Carter's Bill to enable religions to ban VAD in NSW aged care was defeated.

Our political representatives should represent us and be held to account.

Thanks to Dying with Dignity NSW here is how they all voted.

Take note of the names, parties, & those who "Supported" the ban on VAD.

Astute observations from Amy.

Labor

pro mining environmental laws,
no gambling ad reform - ban teenagers from social,
sack scientists,
mates w' authoritarian babymen,
harm unemployed,
less on public health
more on dodgy defence,
against marches against genocide,
pro white supremacist marches
November 24, 2025 at 8:23 PM
Agreed.

"How else to explain political Labor’s refusal to adopt its own members’ platform, & its adherence to established Liberal Party positions on welfare, climate, the economy & the United States?"

And we still wait for Telehealth for VAD tasks; & Medicare coverage for VAD.

For the 2nd term.👎

Damn. But no great surprise is it?

It seems that anything Govt does is up for corruption and graft with that mob?

Good news - and a big relief: Liberal MLC Susan Carter's bill to allow religions to ban VAD in their aged care in NSW failed. The vote was 23 to 16.

At least some parliaments are working for the majority of their people. (Unlike the UK. The House of Lords are unrepresentative swill over there...)

@albomp.bsky.social & @patrickgorman.bsky.social

Do you think the Office of the PM could put some time aside one morning to fix this please?
Today is Saturday No. 28 of the Albanese Govt's 2nd term.

We still don't have:

👉 Telehealth use decriminalised for VAD tasks
👉 Medicare coverage for VAD tasks

This govt, for the 2nd term, continues to ignore our terminally ill Aussies - especially our rural & remote patients.

What's Govt for?

With 1000+ amendments added to the Bill, the risk of deliberate time-wasting from opponents is clear and profoundly unfair.

In reaction, Dame Esther Rantzen has urged the House of Lords not to "try and sabotage democracy".

Over the first two debates, those opposed to the Bill have spoken for six hours! Meanwhile, supporters of the Bill (excluding the Bill sponsor) have spoken for less than an hour.

This is a terrible injustice to the terminally ill.

Sabotage by the Peers of the Realm it certainly is.

The names of those perpetuating this travesty should be widely publicised.

Perhaps the UK needs to rid itself of the House of Lords.

As we approach year's end it's worth a quick reminder:

How’s your End of Life #EOL checklist?

Have you:

👉 Communicated your EOL wishes
👉 A legally binding Advance Health Directive
👉 A Will
👉 An Enduring Power of Attorney
👉 Communicated your EOL wishes again. Yep do it again.

"Of these three treatments, the shingles vaccine was found to be the most promising, particularly as it requires a maximum of two doses and has a strong safety record. Previous studies show people who had the jab could be 16% less likely to develop dementia."

Worth noting. Perhaps followup with GP👇

Speaking of incompetent Governments Albo reckons the states need to spend less on our hospitals.

Albo ignores our gambling problems, our environment & climate problems, our Telehealth / Medicare for VAD issues, but he DOES have time to spend less on our hospitals.

The UK public should be aware of this injustice orchestrated by their un-elected, so called Govt representatives.

The public wants assisted dying. So too the House of Commons. The house of Lords says "no".

Pass the Law or get rid of the House of Lords

Tragic.

Disgusting behaviour from so called Peers.
Nearly 1,000 amendments have now been tabled to the Assisted Dying Bill in the House of Lords. Last Friday, Peers covered only seven. A small group of opponents are using this tactic to slow the progress of the Bill, and at this pace, scrutiny would take more than twenty years.
