What "we" do you have in mind when you say this? Why is being needed by this "we" a condition of support. Support Canadians based on their needs, not their utility to someone else.

Smartphones are like computers but with an enormous amount of control from Google or Apple. This helped a few giant companies capture the previously open web and turn it into what it is today.
