A woman with warmly tan skin and brown hair tied back in a ponytail kneels in the nude in a hazy stone-colored chamber. Her entire body, from her left eye to her chest to her belly, arms and thighs, is criss-crossed with old pale scars -- some jagged, some clean, some the evidence of punctures. She runs her fingers across her left thigh, where a fresh pink scar is forming, and looks down at it with a stoic expression. Her skin has the light shimmer of being recently wet, and water pools on the floor in spots around her. A sword in its scabbard is leaned against the wall behind her, within arm's reach, and on her other side is a wooden bucket and a washcloth. Stylistic steam floats at the edges of the composition. Still really like this one...my only regret is auto-piloting a sword design that looks similar to the Dragonslayer. Combined with the scars, I understand the comparisons, but all the "is dat girl guts??" comments sting when I wanted this to actually evoke some feelings, lol.
