Finally managed to jump over some stuff in Endfield and get to an area in an unintended way. Found a bunch of enemies there and cleared them out, but then I was stuck in a dead end. When I tried to leave, it triggered a cutscene where the characters go, "look, enemies!" and they all respawned, lol.

more Endfield thoughts:
- the "platforming" pisses me off, lol. If the only places I'm meant to jump up are the carefully curated arrangements of cuboid structures, don't even give me a jump button -- make stairs and ladders
- I like the flow of combat, but the dodges are so incredibly unsatisfying

more Endfield thoughts:

I love when modern character designs are kept simple -- there's this tendency since graphics got more powerful to add a billion greebles and dongles and doodads all over every character, 14 layers of clothing that don't make sense and would take half an hour to put on, etc. But *I* love simplicity.

I bought 3 more houseplants, which brings the current total up to 13...but it's not enough...
I want to see greenery in every room!! I want to get more cool little planters and pot stands!! I want to live my life surrounded by leafy things!!

tried Endfield!
- looks very pretty, but the character animations sometimes have a whiff of jank (I notice the "seams" between different states/they don't flow)
- combat is serviceable so far
- I like the VA work and music
- character designs are cool/cute
- I pulled Avywenna and I think I love her
