Right now I don’t even know how to process this, but I do know that all decent people have to stick together, support each other and fight back
Communities seeking asylum here - Huguenots, Poles, Jews, Somalis, Ugandans, Syrians, Afghans - have all enriched the UK. They make us what we are. Now Labour intend to terminate centuries of history, pull up the drawbridge and leave us to stagnate in our own bigotry.

UK set to limit refugees to temporary stays
Shabana Mahmood is expected to say the era of permanent protection for refugees is over, in major changes to the UK's asylum and immigration system.

What they fail to understand is it’s not ‘the trots’ they’ve pissed off, but millions of their natural supporters. People who actually wanted them to succeed, understood the difficulties they face and were prepared, for a long while, to give them the benefit of the doubt. All squandered.
So Wes Streeting allies want him to become Prime Minister - for the Labour Government to tank even faster.

We don't have time to play these silly games - people are suffering now.

Keep growing the alternative - they need replacing.

I recently read Kate Atkinson’s (excellent) novel ‘When Will There Be Good News?’. It feels like a very relevant question.

Thanks to months of pitch rolling, the Labour government has now effectively told anyone paying attention that income tax rises are necessary, but they’re not going to do them because they’re politically weak. Let’s see how that plays!

We already knew that the attacks on the BBC are not being made in good faith and that board members are actively trying to undermine their own organisation, but just in case you’re in doubt - here’s the author of the internal report accusing the BBC of doctoring quotes…doctoring the exact same quote

To be very clear - questions of whether Epstein provided compromising information on Trump to Putin - which then in turn explains Trump’s dangerous subservience to Putin - is back on the table.
Now there are legit questions about whether Epstein was working with/for Putin.

NEW: Jeffrey Epstein said in emails that he had been advising the Russian government on how to deal with Donald Trump, one of several cases in which he wielded his connections to try to influence the course of foreign affairs. w @nahaltoosi

🚨BREAKING: Oversight Dems have received new emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate that raise serious questions about Donald Trump and his knowledge of Epstein’s horrific crimes.

Read them for yourself. It’s time to end this cover-up and RELEASE THE FILES.

CONFIRMED: the gold snot covering the Oval Office is $58-apiece onlays from Home Depot that have been spraypainted.

When Laura Ingraham confronted Trump about this in the Oval—specifically and correctly noting that the tacky garbage was from Home Depot—he lied to her face and insisted it wasn't.

Are we all now expected to enter this fantasy world in which the BBC is too left wing or do we have the option to retain our sanity and decline?

Remember that traitor Farage’s allegiance, for all his performative, flag waving ‘patriotism’, is not to this country. It’s to himself and the global far right.

So the Telegraph’s “BBC bias dossier” - supposedly written by ex-BBC adviser Michael Prescott - is being used to claim there’s a rogue LGBT+ unit “censoring” gender-critical voices inside the BBC.

Let’s look at what’s actually in it. Spoiler: it’s nothing but recycled transphobic talking points!

🧵
For reference - Here’s the Telegraph article with the Prescott memo complaining about the BBC published in FULL.

Obviously, it’s an archived link which circumvents their paywall - as there’s no way I’m gonna give that transphobic rag any clicks or coin! 😣

Federal agents using unprovoked violence on peaceful protestors and then repeatedly lying about it. The judge has absolutely eviscerated them.
Agents said "hit them" before deploying tear gas, Ellis says, and then they lied about it under oath.

This calls into question their account of everything happening in the Chicago area.

Utterly damning.
"I find the defendants' evidence simply not credible," Ellis says, going through examples for the courtroom.

When Musk told us he wanted to X to be a haven for free speech, he was knowingly lying, planning all along to use it as a tool for boosting far right extremism. The mainstreaming of open racism and the anti-asylum riots here in the UK haven’t just happened by random chance. X needs to be shut down.
