Here's the first release of godot-screenreader!

It's a script that imitates the behavior of a screenreader in godot games so you can load interfaces. It's early in development but it has enough functionality to work with the TTS.

It's crazy how much people here love alt text but won't actually talk to blind people or inform themselves on their issues beyond popular reposts

the worst thing about the deleuze-guattari fandom is they would rather read esoteric larp work by an annoying British meth head racist who likes to throw around tech words because he just discovered UNIX at the university rather than the guy whose name is literally half of "deleuze-guattari"

It's crazy watching tech bros trying to get "ahead of the curve" with AI when every other discipline in computer science is demonstrating how full of shit they are

Like seriously just admit you suck at programming, writing and art and don't set the planet on fire

This is an excellent primer on some of the privacy dangers posed by large scale AI, from a cybersecurity perspective. Written in clear language, it's the most accessible rundown I've seen yet on these topics!

That's because the spec for email was written by actual engineers and not some fucking assholes with money who builds shitty JavaScript in his spare time
Thank God email got bedded in before the piss-awful modern tech era. Oh no, you can’t Zapmail me because I’m on Mailr. Oh, you have Nvelope? If you send me an e-byte then I should pick it up on my Feedribble bytecatcher.

Fed up with Meta? Avoiding Instagram or Facebook isn’t enough to stop Meta from harvesting and profiting from your private information. Here’s how to limit Meta’s ability to monetize your personal data.

So deeply not kidding when I say that the current paradigm of "Gen AI" is doing deep, lasting harm to our ability to make knowledge, meaning, & truth w/ each other.

Like… it's really fucking us up & if we don't stop it soon we're gonna see a kind of negative chaos frankly unimaginable to most ppl 👍🏾

Bryan MacCormack, the executive director of a New York-based immigrant rights group, was pulled over by CBP with two undocumented passengers in the vehicle. He knew his rights, refused to acknowledge their "warrant", and despite CBP threatening him, the agents eventually were forced to let him go.

the worst part of AI LLMs pretending to be historical figures is that they will systematically remove all historical context in favor of repeating the Oedipus complex ad nauseum because AI still does not comprehend the critique of psychoanalysis presented by Deleuze and Guattari in Anti-Oedipus

You can honor David Lynch by wearing a mask in public.

He had to begin isolating at home because he has emphysema- a COVID infection would likely be fatal- and no one wears masks anymore.

Millions of others like him (including myself) were left behind when COVID measures were abandoned

The intimate bond between capitalism and schizophrenia consists in their common basis and installation on decoded flows (insofar as they are decoded). How then was this decoding carried out? One has to keep the following two requirements clearly in mind:

You’ll probably see this screenshot floating around a lot but it really was wonderful to see Lynch put a scene in Twin Peaks: The Return where he has his character literally stare at the camera and say that you should either support trans people or die. I needed to hear that in 2017

I love art and creativity.

If you are an artist, remember that you have full control over your ideas, take the time to illustrate them and inspire others.

This is dedication and hard work.

Never forget this and in this bad period, remember we are all together and in solidarity. KEEP GOING!

If you use copilot mode for coding you're a fucking loser

I don't care if you use it "just for boilerplate code or repetitive code", you can spend 15 minutes writing it yourself or writing a generator that will contribute way less to global emmissions

If I use the word, “machine,” it’s to indicate that it isn’t an axiomatic, nor is it a deductive system. Alliances are never drawn from filiations; they never follow or are deduced from filiations.
