There are too many bastards in the sports industry, most of all with those with stakes in betting. I specifically recall reporter Shams Charania insinuating a player's stock was rising in the draft, which shifted the odds in a way he and his sports-betting company employer could benefit from.

I don't hate mainstream actors getting cast in mainstream roles, though I cannot stand seeing roles for historical settings made up entirely by the biggest celebrity names. Too many of those stars have gotten veneers and cosmetic surgery to look less like the sort of people they're cast to play.

As of 2:30 AM this morning, the ECCC weather observing station at St. John's International Airport had recorded 286.4 mm of rain this month.
That is a new record for the month, breaking the old record set in November of 2004.
