All the artists on the list or in the honorable mentions I could semi-confidently find through Bluesky I have included here:

I certainly don't like every thread about films being found get littered with "London After Midnight next?" Like all other lost films serve the function of additional steps to reach London After Midnight, all because of some cool promo images.

It's funny that a lot of non-silent film fans gravitate toward the idea of London After Midnight. Even reports from those who've seen it say the cool sets and makeup are only a small part of the overall film, and that the surviving remake - "Mark of the Vampire", also by Browning - is stronger.

It's an understated fury, and one I wish was responded to with the same level of vigilance as its original influence on those watching their favorite sports. A real reckoning, where you sit down and force those in power to look at what they've done. A responsibility toward those they ruined.

Television broadcasts are so defined by betting ads and odds regarding sports that it's obviously predatory. Then there's online content creators geared toward younger audiences pushing this so feverishly. I think it's a blight on the culture to the point that it ruins lives. And for what?

That said, I don't think this is a new problem or even that it's worse now than it's ever been. Willem Dafoe and Cillian Murphy are major modern actors and IMO are far more adaptable visually than Rudolph Valentino looked a hundred years ago, just as one example.

I don't vilify these people for doing that sort of thing since I'm sure many of them get pressured into it. I only find it a little tragic that when we tell stories about people who don't fit a more modern and expensive aesthetic, we sculpt them to our hyper-specific standards of magazine covers.

Each track description on the comp has links to where you can purchase the music of each individual artist if you'd rather use your money to support their work specifically. Wherever your money goes, I'm sure it'll be much appreciated.

Another option is the charity for last year's comp, which you can directly donate to here:

Name your price! It's a charity compilation, so if you'd rather not have your money passed through my filthy claws, just download the comp for free and donate the money directly to the charity of choice (or any charity - I'm not picky):
