Carville doesn't understand that the Dem Party owes its 80+ million vote victory in 2020 to a movement that was literally built on "wokeness" (and to which Dems were made to bow down). Defund the police is not a social policy but an economic one. It is an offer of material assistance to the public.

Pritzker can *himself* deploy the Illinois National Guard to protect the public. He has not done so. He has also openly rejected referring federal agents who are documented to have committed violent felonies against Illinois residents to relevant authorities for criminal prosecution.

Pritzker has refused to refer crimes committed by federal agents to local law enforcement for investigation and prosecution. Pressure must be applied to force local officials to protect the public from violent criminal conduct, like the forcible abduction of Dayanne Figueroa.

Trump literally made a public comment himself on his social media page—specifically, that he would like to dump human feces on American cities having protests from a fighter jet while wearing a crown—and this NYT reporter is innocently asking his spokespeople whether he has a comment

Federal paramilitary forces have killed one person in Chicago and repeatedly shot a second. While the fed govt can legally conduct limited operations within a state's territory, the paramilitary forces in Chicago are operating without constraint and illegally. This is not a trivial matter.

Portland city council member and veteran Mitch Green on National Guard members refusing unlawful federal orders. This may be important going forward, as states will be dependent upon their National Guards to protect their public from Dixiecrat military attacks.

Illinois officials must follow through with what Pritzker said here yesterday about prosecuting federal agents committing felonies against the Illinois public. States CAN prosecute federal agents who commit crimes on their territory, even while "on the job." All pressure must be brought to bear.

I like spotting obvious editorial additions to a journalist's original submission. Just casually sneaking in an opinion that launching stun grenades and chemical weapons isn't military engagement.

These people are so, so afraid. Like, I don't think this is even political. I think they are frightened of their own shadows.

Speaking of political violence, the powers that be are pressuring Mamdani to endorse it and pledge to inflict it on the public.

It took them 16 seconds to kill a disabled kid. Police are sold to the US public as a public service to them. Stop buying what the ruling class is selling.

You get who you vote in the primary for. Some day Democratic voters will learn lessons. Some day.

At the same time, people—especially those concerned about domestic fascism—should understand that easy answers can be used against you. We saw this recently when DC residents suddenly realized en masse they had been unwittingly giving the ruling class permission to use crime as a pretext.

I recently responded to a poll on crime. It was interesting how tempting it was to call crime a "problem" on it. Obviously, any crime is a "major problem," & so respondents are extremely likely to say that. This just tells us people don't like crime (duh). Doesn't tell us anything more than that.

When people talk about restoring the norm against bald-faced lying, Matthew Miller should be Exhibit A. Lying to the public—especially in defense of empire— has been a bipartisan ruling class norm for many decades. It didn't start with MAGA, although they do excel at it.
