Nor should Dems capitulate to rural male voters—Dems simply don't need them to win & pandering will lose the urban base it actually does need. Carville is providing a recipe for empowering MAGA by demotivating the Dem Party's urban core base (a base Carville does not like and wants to punish).

The Oregon governor can fire them all and replace them. Democrats are not helpless. They are just choosing to subject the public to violence.

ICE agents can be criminally prosecuted by local district attorneys. So far, local elected Dems have shown no desire to protect the public from violence.

I don't think there should be any pretense that it's legally defensible. It's not. Anybody who tried would not be credible. The very act of trying would discredit the person.
