There were fears 2025-26 might be a bad #flu year because of a new #H3N2 variant called subclade K. Looks like the jury is in; it is making a lot of people sick. (The timing surely contributes.) NY State has never recorded as many flu cases in 1 week as it has now. www.statnews.com/2025/11/20/f...

When the News talks about a super or new #flu they're trying to keep it simple. But that loses the bigger picture.
Every season we have 3 (it used to be 4) different flu viruses circulating at once. The so-called 'seasonal' flu viruses - not bird, seal or swine flu, they're human adapted.

WCK's support for Jamaican families impacted by Hurricane Melissa goes beyond meals. We went to Alligator Pond, a fishing town on the southwest coast of Jamaica, to distribute wire & rope to local fishermen to help them rebuild fishing pots after a lot of their gear was destroyed by the storm.
