Ugh my house and content insurance has just gone up by 15% and they made some of the cover optional (aka will cost more) so the actual increase is going to be even more.

Trifle makers (and ❤️), this is the 1sr year I have to make one. My plan is: sponge cake soaked in Bailey, vanilla custard, strawberry jelly, fresh raspberries, blueberries, strawberries & then repeat, topped w whipped cream & berries. Is this a solid idea? I am thinking of adding lychee. Yea or nay?

Currently 1/4 the world away so I cannot join the hīkoi tomorrow, but pleased that my tama and husband are going. We also have our friend and his two tamahine from the South Island stay with us so they can go to the hīkoi tomorrow! Toitū te Tiriti!

It doesn’t rain, it pours… we’ve had years of minimum vet visits with our digs and this months alone we’ve already have 2 vet visits, (runny nose on Grub and sprained muscles for Dash). I have to go back today for the runny nose as it’s been 2 mo and she just lost her appetite.. fingers crossed.

We have a fully funded PhD position with stipend in Materials Sci/Dev or ChemEng. The focus is in novel controlled release fert to reduce leaching/nutrient run-off using nano-material developed from geothermal resources.
