We must be ready. Join a group e.g. Stand Up To Racism, XR, a local growers co-op, a homelessness charity. Get educated on the issues, read up on civil resistance, books like "Let This Radicalize You". Build alliances between groups. Only community & inclusive collective action can stop fascism.
Organising activism and chronic fatigue don't go well together. 😪

"Soil is a fantastically complex biological structure, like a coral reef, built and sustained by the creatures that inhabit it. It supplies 99% of our calories. Yet we know less about it than any other identified ecosystem."
1. Some good news at last. This week’s column is about the amazing thing a couple of us stumbled into three years ago, which we’ve now developed into a global research programme. It doesn’t change everything, of course, but it could help change quite a lot. + 🧵 www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

I knew that a revolution in our understanding of soil could change the world. Then came a eureka moment – and the birth of the Earth Rover Program, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

I might be arrested tomorrow (technically today because I'm up late), which is weird considering I'm only planning to take part in a peaceful protest. Wish me luck, I guess.

DEFEND OUR JURIES

David Lammy is proposing to massively restrict the ancient right to a jury trial by only guaranteeing it for defendants facing cases passing a public interest test.

We saw this coming. It is the reason Defend Our Juries exists.

Who's deciding which of the submissions are included in the updated drafts, who's deciding what members get to vote on at the conference, and how are these decisions made? It's not seeming very democratic.
Later this week we'll publish revised drafts of the documents, updated in response to the regional assemblies and crowd-editing submissions. So keep your eyes peeled.

Utterly disgusting from this government. Pandering to the far right, falling for the billionaire-owned media's divide and conquer strategy, targeting the most vulnerable people, they are marching us straight into fascism because they have no positive vision for this country.
This is as bad as anything proposed by Reform.
