The biggest problem we are facing is Too Much Stuff. What to do with it? How to store the important things? We know we don't want to move a bunch of things to Costa Rica, at least, not at first. We have some storage room here, so, if we rent this place, we can leave some of it locked up here.

When we first started thinking about this, we thought we'd sell our house and go. Thinking more deeply on it, we've revised that plan. While our house needs a lot of work, we can take a couple of months and fix it up and get it on the rental market. It is very difficult to move "back" to California, once you are out of the market.

For those who don't know about the Psychopuppy thing: We have been together for over 30 years, and have been blessed with some of the greatest dogs of all times. Terriers are not for everyone, but they are for us. Our first lady, Siena Rozalyn Zoom, was half JRT and half Fox Terrier. And all ball-obsessed. Sometimes she would come to work with me at Sonoma State University, and the students would take her out to play.

How Did We Get Here? Why are we here? What are we doing? I thought it would be a good idea to trace our journey as we make this huge, life-altering change. I can keep track of sites that have been helpful/useful, and those that weren't, perhaps. And, perhaps others planning the same journey might find it helpful, too. So, really, how did we get here?
