A reminder that Transit Police called CBSA to detain Lucia Vega Jimenez for an unpaid transit fare.

Lucia killed herself rather than face the prospect of being sent back to Mexico where her violent partner would torture and murder her.

My relationship with state communism as a predominant anarchist is a lot like my relationship with womanhood - I don't per se primarily define myself as such, but I wind up being screamed at by the most dreadful people on earth over both, so you eventually do the math on whose side you're on.

To clarify: the U.S. has *never* really been a part of the democratic world. It has always sought to overthrow elected governments to create puppet states. (See: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_...)

We ought to remember the present as a mask-off moment — and plan for the future accordingly.

New — The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) was told this week by DOJ that they'd lose their funding if the org didn't remove any mentions of LGBTQIA+ issues from their public materials, I've learned. Staff were told they need to deadname trans kids in their reports to comply.
