We’re watching transparency erode as law enforcement begins to resemble secret police more than public servants. This piece unpacks how we got here, and why it should alarm us all.
Why Are They Hiding Their Faces?
If ICE agents' actions are perfectly acceptable, they shouldn't have to mask their identities

RFK Jr.’s Prescription for Bird Flu on Farms: Let It Spread (Gift Article)
The health secretary has suggested allowing the virus to spread, so as to identify birds that may be immune. Such an experiment would be disastrous, scientists say.

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.
Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow
As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy

Today, the current occupant of the White House and his lap dog @JDVance tried to act tough. Zelenskyy made it clear to the world how weak they are. They have reduced the United States position to be nothing more than Putin or bust. Zelenskyy smartly chose to go home.

From what I can find there isn't a single billionaire living in my Congressional District CA 41 which means my Republican Congressman Ken Calvert voted against nearly 40% of his constituency who receive Medicare and Medicaid for the benefit of zero constituents. NOT ONE SINGLE ONE!

Instead, simply release the audit. It’s straightforward—everything in the government is documented. If the evidence exists, let America see it. Rather than turning the Super Bowl into a political spectacle, release the audit and let Americans decide.

Open message to Elon Musk:

Rumors are swirling that you’re spending $40 million on Super Bowl ads targeting USAID. If there were truly fraud, wouldn’t you not need to spend millions trying to convince people?

She said “your head will spin with all the wild stuff they try to pull, new things every day, but don’t take your eyes off the money. It’s all about the money, and what they’re stealing, and for whom.”

Democrats need to STOP helping Republicans. “Let them choke on (their majority).”

It is abundantly clear that T and his enablers don't understand how the Constitution works. The 14th amendment can't be changed by executive order. It can only be changed by a new amendment passed by Congress and then sent to the states to be ratified. Suing to block the EO only gives it legitimacy.
