At the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, local stewards teamed up with Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) to restore habitat just in time for salmon. Support from PSF through Salmon Conservation Stamp funds made this project possible: psf.ca/salmonstamp/

The Sq’éwqel are restoring vital spawning habitat for an endangered Chinook population in Maria Slough, near Agassiz, in partnership with DFO. Thanks to Salmon Conservation Stamp and donor funds, PSF was able to grant $112,384 to support this project. Learn more at psf.ca/salmonstamp/

On the Deadman River, cottonwoods have vanished and left salmon more vulnerable to drought. Skeetchestn Indian Band is leading restoration efforts with DFO and other partners to test low-cost methods that help salmon survive low flows.
