Unless Keir Starmer and his new Public Health Minister reads and understands this, nothing will change in the Infection Prevention and Control of airborne disease in the NHS or throughout the country. Sad to say I don’t expect it to.

The aim of the COVID-19 immunisation programme is to prevent serious disease arising from COVID-19. The Government has received advice from the independent Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) about eligibility for the 2025 spring and autumn COVID-19 vaccination programmes, and about the spring 2026 programme. The Government has accepted JCVI advice on eligibility for the spring 2025 COVID-19 vaccination programme.
