I've devoted over 20 years to teaching persuasive writing to international students. Regardless of your politics, this is a great article. The article was intelligent, respectful, and thoughtful. These qualities should be commended, not criminalized.

I keep reading these bleeding heart think pieces about how I should feel empathy and understanding for people who voted for Trump and now are feeling the pain of his policies. Let me be clear about this. I feel no empathy for them whatsoever.

I’m strongly considering moving to Canada. Would they have us or do they hate us all now? I wouldn’t blame them.

Not getting much attention, but the Senate GOP is about to start voting - to make sure banks can charge higher overdraft fees. Seriously.

Good time to let your Senators know what you think of that.

The whole point is not just the state disappearing whoever they want, it's you being in the habit of accepting the state choosing whom to disappear, without question. It's submission to the state. Same as with Gitmo after 9/11. The state's judgment must not be questioned.
This should INFURIATE you

I woke up to find Alan Dershowitz reacted to a five-year-old comment I made about his defense of Trump during the impeachment hearings. What do you make of this? Is it an "I told you so," or is he having 2nd thoughts? Why might he be reading old comments on stories about him today of all days?

If Linda McMahon and the Department of Education believe in "efficiency and accountability" (after laying off half of the department), then I'm sure they'll gladly publish a list of every position that has been eliminated and why that position is no longer needed.

They talk openly and proudly of cutting entitlements and then deny it when you call them on it. If you wouldn't cut SS, why do you keep saying will? Do you think those cameras pointed at you don't work, or do you think we're too dumb to hear the words coming out of your mealy little mouth?
There were howls of protest and denial from the GOP any time we pointed out that Republicans want to cut Social Security.

Now the most powerful official in the White House goes on TV and calls it "the big one to eliminate."
Elon Musk says he wants to “eliminate” programs like Social Security and Medicare: “Entitlements... That’s the big one to eliminate”

Seriously, who would ever trust us again once we show that every eight years, we will tear up our treaties and sell out our friends.
