Ponderously teach them to play obtuse minigames which are mandatory to complete the prologue but vanish from the narrative as soon as the real plot kicks off, only to return as progress-gating puzzles in the final dungeon, dozens of hours after the player has forgotten they exist. Game of the year.

Put a tutorial fight right before the first save point pops. Give it slightly cryptic mechanics that make it possible to lose, and if you DO fuck it up you get booted back to the title screen and have to do the whole prologue over again because your save file doesn't exist yet. Do it.

[2/2] A triple-wide retail space full of row after row after row of claw machines, all spotlessly clean and with fresh merch every week, and I have not once seen anyone actually playing them, no matter the time of day or night. It's been like this for months. SOMETHING has gotta be going on, right?
