Words/Thoughts my own.
Wouldn't it be cool as biscuits if the Silent Hill 1 remake mimicked the style of the pre-rendered cutscenes present in the original game?

Hello, I'm still alive! Been thinking a lot about a certain game from my teenage years, on which I may have to produce a video. (PIC UNRELATED)

What a reductive article. I love the fact that DL: The Beast doesn't look like every other UE-5 slop-fest out there. "The Big Decree" then at the end of the piece - shape up, or ship out essentially? Nah man.

Dying Light: The Beast Shows an Aging Engine
Dying Light: The Beast offers average visuals even on high-end PCs, and despite that, there are also instances of stuttering.

Post a perfect album from the 90's that isn't Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice In Chains.

Excellent news! Perhaps a little knowing, given the recent launch of Everybody's Golf this week (a game I've previously described as largely horseshit).

I'm also reviewing Everybody's Golf - a game that is largely horseshit.

Reviewing Cronos on Switch 2 at the mo. It's been a long time since I've felt totally captivated by a game's setting in spite of its gameplay.

I'm baffled by Nintendo's technical decisions on a near-daily basis.
Snowdrop relies heavily on disk streaming for its open world environments, and we found the Switch 2 cards simply didn’t give the performance we needed at the quality target we were going for. I don’t recall the cost of the cards ever entering the discussion - probably because it was moot.

Am joking of course, but 007 First Light does look a bit like someone ran Uncharted 2 through my knackered old Beko washing machine's synthetic cycle.

We have the Switch 2 port of Cronos: The New Dawn in-house. Very curious to see how Bloober has squished UE5 onto the console.

Modern shortcomings in UI and UX design can be traced all the way back to Sony's XMB. It was too peak, too streamlined, too navigable. In a prime example of Newton's third law of motion, every single interface structure now has to be arse muck.

Here's something to brighten your day. Toy Story 2 PS1 start screen.

Right, so MGS Delta faces the same performance issues that almost every other UE5 game struggles with. I can't with these real-time GI PBR UE5 remakes anymore. Every single game looks the same.

Excellent, couldn't agree more tbh
I reviewed Metal Gear Solid Delta - and I feel the same about it that I do about Persona 3 Reload - I don’t really know why it exists. I think this remake doesn’t quite get how the limitations of the PS2 were important to the game’s identity (1/2) www.inverse.com/gaming/metal...
'Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater' Made Me Question Why Video Games Get Remakes
'Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater' is a competent remake of an all-time classic, but it does lose a bit of the original's vibrant personality in the process.

I bought a pre-modded PS3 years ago, and i've pulled it out of retirement just this past week.

Re-pasted it, immaculate inside. Re-jailbroke(breaked?) it, and I've been seriously impressed at the results. Overclocking to 850/950 is stable, and SOMEHOW temps are steady w/ fans at 34%.

A bit of Sunday viewing for yee. 60-odd episodes of Bravo TV classic Gamer.TV

Shame the show has never been fully archived. Lots of interesting stuff in here - cancelled games, fairly on the ball reviews, and lots of 00's vibes.
