Yes, but true moral courage is criticizing Israel at the moment it's needed, not when it's comfortable to do so. Should haves and could haves don't cut it.

Alt-right bigots are "populists" to an academic, a hate merchant to everyone else.
You see that? How “far right” views are routinely re-packaged as “populist”?
A prominent far-right German activist has applied for political asylum in the U.S., as the Trump administration has signaled plans to prioritize protections for White refugees and Europeans who claim they are being targeted for their populist views.

This is exactly why I cannot watch The View. They are giving a platform to a well-known conspiracy theorist, serial liar, and complete lunatic.

Don't shed a tear for this sociopath. He was unapologetic about pushing George W. Bush into the Iraq War debacle in 2003. It was just one lie after another, and Dick Cheney was the war's chief propagandist. In his documentary, he said he had "no regrets" about the war. A sociopath indeed.

I never scaled a class grade in my life. With experience, you learn what written questions to ask, how to word them, and what details are required. For essays, a professor teaches a TA the difference between grade levels and shows essay examples from previous years. Just be proactive.

Does anyone know if there's a moral difference between flat-out murder and murder?
Trump admin claims that its premeditated killings at sea aren't flat out murder because US is supposedly in an armed conflict (false).

But its reported daisy-chain targeting is not focused on lawful targets, ie combatants or those DPHing.

If war, then war crimes.

How can anyone vote for this fascist, anti-science moron?
It's easy to think--at least he's telling families to vaccinate their kids. But the effect will be lower vaccination rates. Why?

Those who already avoid vaccines will see this as validating their extra caution. And some on the fence will now try to delay/spread out shots and end up skipping some.

Even if AI programs could write the perfect essay every time, students would not be reading, writing, or performing a critical analysis of texts. In other words, they would be paying tens of thousands in tuition to become lazier and less intelligent.

Like I've said a thousand times before, AI marketing targets students. Its core message is that computer programs can do the reading, writing, and thinking for them. All students need to do is collect their diplomas after four years.
tl;dr

1. Studies of genAI in the classroom show that it harms learning

2. The quality of AI-generated text is irrelevant to its most negative effects on teaching

3. The way AI has entered the classroom is as a money-making project extracting new labour, not a “tool” serving teachers’ actual needs
Why I am not using AI in the classroom
Last week I spoke with some of my colleagues about the “challenges” posed by generative AI to our teaching. As anyone who follows me on Bluesky — or followed me on Twitter, prior …
