Religion is often the handmaiden of authoritarianism & Trump is pushing a white Christian Nationalism agenda.

@raushenbush.bsky.social joins Katie Phang to talk about the power of religion to fight for democracy and how religious leaders are speaking up and speaking out.

Should've gone a long time ago.

I cannot tell you how unbelievably pissed I am right now.
On Tuesday, Americans sent Democrats a resounding message.

“Fight for us”

“Fight for working class Americans”

“Fight against Trump’s corruption, criminality and cruelty”

5 days later, Democrat Senators sent Americans a resounding message.

“Nah”

I'm done with the party.
I've done all I can, and realize that they can't be trusted to do the right thing when it is hardest to do.
I feel more disillusioned because this means that we'll never have the type of majority to pass court reform or any of the other supposed top priorities of the party.

Any Democrat who "trusts" notoriously deceitful Republicans to keep their word on an ACA vote deal is too naive/stupid to be in office.

Let's fix that next time they are up for election. #PrimaryTheIdiots

DO NOT CAVE AGAIN!
A "vote" on healthcare is NOT a deal/negotiation! Have you not learned your lesson yet??!! Listen to the people!

It shows Schumer no longer has the caucus.
It doesn't actually matter if Chuck Schumer votes for this or not.

If he can't keep his caucus unified to protect healthcare for over 10 million Americans, he should resign as leader.

Sanders: Let’s be clear… If this vote succeeds, over 20 million Americans are going to see at least a doubling in their premiums… if resolution is passed tonight, we are on a path way to throw 15 million Americans off of medicaid and the affordable care act, 15 million.
