Joining the #aurora party from Forest Park in St. Louis.
Bright pink patchy aurora with a green horizontal arc at the bottom. The green arc appears to zigzag a little. Glowing pink aurora with multiple horizontal green bands Pink aurora arcing across a huge chunk of the sky, with some faint green visible at the bottom. The pink part has a bit of a curtain texture to it. There are city lights beneath, and an artificial pond or reflecting pool in the foreground. Vibrant patch of pink aurora, with a vertical pillar that's almost orange. Some more scattered, fainter pink and green around it.

I love teaching right after a linguistics class.

(That's not sarcastic. I think they're using the same textbook as my first linguistics course way back when, so it all looks very familiar in a good way.)

I'm a little behind on October drawing, so I combined two prompts from different lists, and ended up with something about to go terribly wrong at @offcolorbrewing.bsky.social.

Someone was feeding fish at the boathouse, and indirectly also feeding this great egret.

Finally, my favorite standard deck ever, Lost Box, has now fully rotated, so I made a shadowbox of a bunch of the key pieces from it. The missing center spot is for my Ace Trainer promo once I get it. (VSTAR marker is by @taterdash.bsky.social.)

Went out into Forest Park today to try to sketch some of the tornado damage. Photos really don't capture how deeply unsettling it is seeing the landscape go from basically normal to obliterated in the span of a couple of city blocks. Maybe art can do a little better.
