This is what a sequel should be. It takes the gameplay from the first, amps it up, adds a bunch of extra challenges, and is just more fun overall. The fact that the new game lifted almost all it’s level designs from this game is a testament to it’s quality.

Faxanadu on NES is part of the same series. The title is short for Famicom Xanadu, similar to how N64 games had 64 in the title. That’s why it’s pronounced Fa-xan-a-du and not Fax-an-a-du.
