I definitely agree. Still, there are certainly things they could do (or not do) that would alter the pace of the transition to renewables. My hope is that they go all in to speeding it up.

We should prioritize making it easier to deploy renewables, rather than keep fossil fuels online. Youngkin claimed an all of the above energy approach, yet vetoed legislation that would have better positioned renewables in the state. It appears Spanberger understands the assignment; time will tell

Democrats flipped an astounding 13 seats in the VA House now 64D-36R. Several strategies worked for Democrats including Spanberger's moderate approach & Mamdani's progressive one. Candidates made the election about bringing down costs & standing up to Trump, which could be replicated in 26 4/4

Wason Center polls were right on the money for Republicans, but undershot Democrats who appear to have taken almost all undecideds. Our final poll of the election showed Earle-Sears with 43% of the vote; she is at 42.38. Reid was at 45 in our poll, & 44.27 now. Miyares was at 46% and 46.7% now 3/

In Virginia, polling consistently showed Spanberger leading her opponent Earle-Sears for governor, yet her victory was larger than predicted. Jones was struggling in the polls in the face of a text messaging scandal, but most voters did not split their ticket and undecideds broke for him. 2/
