Parliamentary procedure geek. No partisan debate. Also Star Trek, police procedurals, sci-fi, baseball (Jays), Wrexham AFC, and tennis. I retweet out of interest, not necessarily agreement. Will usually follow-back, but not if you have a blank profile.

For years I've described having Long COVID as living in a horror movie. Now that horror movie (well, prestige Apple TV show) is here.

Caylan Ford is suing me and PressProgress, along with trusted news organizations like CBC News, the Toronto Star, as well as other award-winning journalists

Caylan Ford says she wants to “impose costs” on us as part of a larger crusade to “fight back against cancel culture” 🙄

But this lawsuit is so much bigger than me or PressProgress

This lawsuit could have chilling implications for journalism and democracy in Canada

Caylan Ford is also asking the court to protect politicians’ secrets and prevent journalists from reporting on documents leaked by whistleblowers

Hi Bluesky 👋

Small life update: I’m at the centre of a multimillion dollar lawsuit in Alberta launched by a failed candidate for Jason Kenney’s UCP

It may be the longest and most expensive media trial in Canadian history

I’m ready to go public about it and I want to share more details with you 🧵

More than anything else, I think this shows that people who remain on X because they think they don’t want to “cede space to the other side” and want to “meet people where they are” are profoundly stupid and negligent people
Data shows that the algorithm on Elon Musk’s X is systematically pushing right-wing political content to British social media users regardless of their political orientation or who they follow, according to an investigation by Sky News:
