Yup. It was such a broad voter suppression proposal that the defeat doesn't say anything about the popularity of a voter ID requirement.

It was so much more than voter ID. So even though the voter ID element alone should have killed it, in this case I think most voters would see something in it that would impact them or someone they're connected to. I'm not sure you can use this victory to draw conclusions about voter ID laws.

Super intrigued! Integrating science and story, fact and feeling, is certainly my dream, so I can't wait to read it. In the meantime, can you say anything more about the science part? I'm puzzling over the "trillions of years ago" timeline in a universe much younger than that. What am I missing?
