It was so much more than voter ID. So even though the voter ID element alone should have killed it, in this case I think most voters would see something in it that would impact them or someone they're connected to. I'm not sure you can use this victory to draw conclusions about voter ID laws.
"Do you want to change Maine election laws to eliminate two days of absentee voting, prohibit requests for absentee ballots by phone or family members, end ongoing absentee voter status for seniors and people with disabilities, ban prepaid postage on absentee ballot return envelopes, limit the number of drop boxes, require voters to show certain photo ID before voting, and make other changes to our elections?"

My 7-yo niece says it's "one of the best books ever." And repeats and repeats the title with dramatic glee.

I just finished re-reading THE TOMBS OF ATUAN by LeGuin and found it just as stunning as I did 25 years ago. What a book. Beautifully conceived, gorgeously composed.

Great writing, delightful illustrations, excellent politics, and even organized labor! Bold, funny, tender, radical. ✊🏼
