At 4.48pm on 27 Mar 45 the last V2 was launched from The Hague. At 4.54pm it exploded in the garden of 88 Kynaston Road, Orpington. Mrs Ivy Millichamp was killed as she went to boil a kettle for some tea. Her husband survived. Ivy was the last of the 66,475 British civilian casualties of #WW2.

At 4:54pm, the final rocket to arrive hit Orpington, then in Kent but now part of Greater London. 34 year old Ivy Millichamp died in the kitchen of her house on Kynaston Road. She became the last of over 60,000 British civilians killed by air attack during the Second World War.
