I honestly was thinking about this, and my theory is that Fallen angels can earn their own wings in Hell.

The only angels we see who completely retract their wings are fallen: Lucifer and Vaggi. Heavenly angels have them out all the time.

Vaggi's wings look different from her Exterminator wings.

The trailer is blocked here. I just hope it's able to bring some of the nuance, and depth of the first season back. The others were fun, but the stuff about identity, disability, and prejudice kinda seemed largely absent after the first season.

That's the Warhammer 40K way of writing stuff. Everything is either in universe propaganda, incomplete historical records or one group writing about a totally different culture... or all three. So any retcon is like "oh we didn't know this before, now we do."

That's good to know. I've found some of his videos pretty insightful, but I'm not too knowledgeable about Chinese history outside broad strokes (despite being an East Asian studies major).

I think some people may have been thrown by the Overlords joining in the song. But this isn't the first time we've seen someone join in a song and not fully mean the words. Alastor does it at the end of the Show must go on, and does it again here.
