People, I love reading, will read a book in an afternoon or in an early Saturday morning before the house wakes up, but I will but read a book if you put a deadline around it. That said, I will make the deadline. Book club is in 6 hours, woke up early to finish 40% of it.

I don't think adding pressure on them to do more and be better and overscheduling to make up the deficit is the answer. This from a parent just home from middle school orientation.
