Here’s the step count from my first week of parental leave, starting Monday. Six more months of this should extend my lifespan with a few days.

Last Tuesday I talked about what a ‘dignified death’ means at the world’s only Death Café in Halden, Norway. Very fun and unusual (for me) event. Thanks to the grief group in Halden for inviting.

Suggesting ‘intellectual’ as a synonym for ‘philosophical’ manages to insult both philosophers and intellectuals at the same time!

Good news for the @etme.bsky.social project! I now “understand” Hume’s principle. I’ll try to smuggle it into paper somehow by using the method of completely unecessary formalisation.

Just argued the case for why bioethics is a discipline at the ‘Controversies in Bioethics’ series at the Centre for Medical Ethics. My extremely simple argument, which is clearly true, is that:
