If the WSJ’s reporting is accurate on the details, then Intel shareholders really need to get rid of Frank Yeary (chairman) and get someone from the industry as chair.

Lip-bu was brought in (like Pat Gelsinger before him) to execute a turnaround. Give him the freedom to do it.

Schiller, famously, told Steve Jobs and Eddy Cue back ~14 years ago that Apple needed to consider a time when it would not be tenable to charge devs 30%. And that it should make a change from a “position of strength rather than weakness”.

The judge’s order in Epic vs Apple is *scathing*. Especially the part about Phil Schiller pointing out well in advance that charging devs 27% on payments outside of the app would not pass muster with the court.

Apple, of course, is going to appeal.
