Once again, he fully expects to enact the insurrection act, to turn the United States military against citizens.
Full authoritarian behavior.

And he didn't come up with this shit, miller and bannon have been warming him up to it so when they decide it's time he knows how to play his part.

If a temporary resident of the White House can totally demolish the East Wing to build a gaudy ballroom, without any authority, approval, or regulation, he can tear down the rest of the White House to build a Walmart. That this destruction is allowed underscores how off the rails our country is now.

This is exactly what's happening. And every time he speaks he confirms it.
Don't give TOO much credit to the manipulators, though. The republicans are enabling it by ignoring it, and they are manipulating a dementia-riddled fucking idiot who will do ANYTHING if you tell him how good a job he's doing
It's increasingly clear that the president lives in a constructed bubble of unreality designed by aides who are manipulating him in order to take control of US policy. Seems like an important story - wish media would cover it.

Think of shutdowns as negative-sum negotiations. If your leverage comes from inflicting pain on bystanders, and your opponent is fine with that pain, you’ve lost leverage. All that’s left is pain—for workers, families, and businesses.

I know the focus today is on "the numbers." But lemme share a feeling: I'm worried.

The economy was in a good place in late 2024. That's no longer true. And the trajectory is, at a minimum, concerning.

That's millions of peoples lives, and millions of stories of pain.

Sure, let’s roll the dice with the nation’s public health by putting a former heroin addict/sexual deviant & overall quack who’s not a physician and not a scientist in charge. How’s it “playing out?” Shame on both Cassidy & Tillis.

I recently attended a meeting of people worried about the ongoing destruction of our country. It was held in a private residence. We were young, old, and from a variety of backgrounds. Lots of good ideas. Such meetings may well be part of creating a cohesive resistance. Let us hope.

Booker's marathon will no doubt be dismissed by trumpland as a cooky stunt by Democrats. I've seen much praise for Booker on social media. But I have to wonder if he's accomplishing anything.
