Peppers grow profusely in rainy and wetter periods.
Love rain.
Tomatoes not so much with excessive rain. Allow drainage and they will grow and thrive without dying off.
Many older vegetable or fruits can grow beyond 1 year of growth protection of the roots starts with rotation of soil above water.
