Why are people afraid to say ‘died’? In a report on Jimmy Cliff’s death on Radio 6 it was reported as passing, crossing over and departing but not death. RIP Jimmy.

Zack Polanski saying what every politician should be saying,

"It's problematic to weaponise the synagogue attack to silence protest in this country against the genocide in Gaza"

"These are separate things and we should condemn them both"

Zack Polanski shames Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood

"Shabana Mahmood is being deeply irresponsible"

"Conflating protests against a genocide in Gaza and weaponising that against an antisemitic attack on our streets, a terrorist attack, is deeply irresponsible"

I’d never heard of Charlie Kirk before yesterday but from what I’ve read since it doesn’t sound as though he was particularly nice. So why the wall to wall coverage and now, apparently, a BBC special about someone most people hadn’t heard of just because he has extreme right wing views … oh … I see.

Radio 6 just playing something ‘post-punk’. Hasn’t everything been post-punk for at least 45 years?

Nothing says we’re serious about peace like bombing the people you’re negotiating a ceasefire with #roguestate

First story on the news features complaints from politicians about someone chanting ‘death to the IDF’, second story, criticism free, is about the IDF killing more people. Odd sense of priorities.

It shows how we’ve slipped as a nation when the BBC become active participants in state censorship. Shocking.

Kneecap as terrorists. Spraying paint as terrorism. Someone somewhere is losing the plot.

Bought my first Pulp album in the early 90s, drifted apart for many years, but their new stuff is as good as anything they’ve ever done. Has any other band returned after so long and not disappointed?

I ask again, what is he playing at?

Two former Wells Fargo executives were fined $8.5M by the Biden administration for covering up the bank's infamous fake account scandal.

Trump just slashed those fines to a paltry $150,000 after Wells Fargo gave $1M to his inauguration.

See how this works?

Zelensky is a wartime leader watching his people suffer and die under Russian attacks every day. To be lectured and lied to by Trump and Vance, as they defend the war criminal dictator committing these atrocities, is unimaginable agony. An everlasting shame for America.
Trump has not uttered a critical word about Putin but he and his VP publicly belittled the leader of the nation Putin invaded.

Actually, Canada would probably be better off out of this automatic intelligence-sharing arrangement, which involves mass spying on each others' citizens. As would we. Not least because its dominant member is now playing for the other side.
See it as an opportunity, not a threat.

Genuinely on the look out for sightings of Conservatives - MPs, present or past, commentators - who are as outspoken in their solidarity with Ukraine today as they were when doing so carried no potential penalty in getting on the wrong side of Maga.
