Well they always say, expect the unexpected. And nearly standing on a Woodcock along Wakeham Railway cuttings @ 12:05 was just that.
Within seconds of it realising I was next to it, it flew up and headed east over Glen Caravan Park.
It was definitely worth the soaking!!

Highlights: 2 Meadow Pipit, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Fieldfare, 5 Redwing, 2 Blackcap, 25+ Chiffchaff and 4 Goldcrest.

Wakeham - A lot of escapees from the moth trap this morning when one of the sides lifted in the wind. Ended up with 45 moths of 21 species, including 2 firsts for me on Portland, a Wax Moth (Galleria mellonella) and a Four-spotted Footman (Lithosia quadra)
