The Ferrybridge Dotterel in beautiful evening light, just moments before it shot off west after being startled by a kite flier!
A few edited images of the Little Gulls - Maybe some of the best views of an adult I have ever had.

Usual Sunday wander around The Nothe, nice to see 4 Little Gulls at the Stone Pier, point blank range, had no idea they were there so glad I bothered with the camera!

Sometimes you find rare birds because you're on the lookout for them, other times they pop up when you least expect them! Todays Dusky Warbler suddenly started calling from a bush behind me while on a routine yeartick expedition. I could only manage a few record shots before it seemingly evaporated!

Dusky Warbler Herbury. Currently lost in one of the three(!) bushes along the stone wall maps.app.goo.gl/NFZnDmxM3uNL...

Frustrating Goose sighting this morning, 7 or 8 flew east over the coast road at Langton Herring, low enough to see they were grey geese but far too rapid to be sure of their identity!

Don't know where the last 2 posts went! Finally found some Tundra Bean Geese, 9 Between Holmebridge and Stokeford south of the railway line maps.app.goo.gl/P9sPEFH6srgB...

Very pleased to find 7 Russian White-fronts along the came road this morning. The quest for a self-found Bean continues!

Baikal Teal showing really well out in the eastern side of the bay with Eurasian Teal. Would be visible from New Barn Road @swannerysteve.bsky.social

Baikal Teal again this afternoon, I've only seen it twice this week. These photos were from the 17th, on calm afternoons the teal seem to be gathering in the eastern side of the bay. @swannerysteve.bsky.social

Whooper Swan in the fields between Stadium Roundabout and Kingston Mauward this afternoon. Standing proud not too far from the road - even Frances spotted it. Earlier 2 Black Redstarts around our house.

While perhaps not hitting the heady heights of last November just yet, I have had 3 additions to my trapping list with White-speck and Caloptillia semifasca yesterday and a Blair's Mocha this morning. I'm still hopeful of tonight, there were moths all over the place around the MV this morning!

Apologies for the non-wild post but today I am incredibly proud to watch Frances graduate as a Mental Health Nurse 👏

I'm not entirely sure why this should even bother me, but it really does - sorry that I can't furnish absolutely every sighting with blistering photos backing up every single bird, stupid game this birdwatching!

Wakeham/Mermaid area bursting with birds in sheltered spots. Could only dig out 2 Firecrest but stacks of Chiffchaffs!
