Based in the UK. Unlikely to post much - if I do, posts will probably be nature, art, landscape or literature themed
Loved my trip to @yspsculpture.bsky.social as always. Super exhibitions as ever, but completely blown away by William Kentridge's fabulous show. Strongly recommended

What is the value of a tree?
@ojgarling.bsky.social reflects on the conviction of 2 men for the felling of the Sycamore Gap tree, exploring how the Bennett Institute's framework for measuring social & cultural infrastructure can help explain its value.

Lovely blog on a Regency diary recording Cambridgeshire's lost pasqueflowers. There's a hint of hope at the end, in a reference to plans to return this wonderful flower to the chalk grassland where it once bloomed abundantly. That would be a fantastic achievement.

On Monday our instagram account was hacked and then deleted. We received a ransom note to recover it; obviously we couldn't and wouldn't pay, and therefore lost thousands of followers. Meta support was useless. But we're BACK with a new account: @littletollerbooks. Can you follow us there and share?

Just drastically pruned those I follow here to avoid an overload of current affairs, but I hope retain the good bits of short form social media. My daughter has suggested a better solution would be just to go to Goodreads, as she's pointed out I first followed authors. We will see.

My choir is doing a truly fabulous anniversary concert on Sat. If you're around North London, it'll be a marvellous evening's music. (Plus I'm baking for the produce stall, do not miss.)
Concert coming up! We're doing Bach's Christmas Oratorio, with full choir, baroque orchestra, and soloists, this Saturday in St Michael's Church, Flower Lane, Mill Hill. If you're North London adjacent, do come along: it's going to be fab!

Please share! Tickets lpac.org.uk or door.
