Do any Cook! Frozen meals meet your requirements? I wish these had existed twenty or so years ago when I had my newborns. It's not "cheating" with Christmas food if it gives you more time to enjoy family life.

Thanks so much and well done! I've enjoyed following along and have gathered a few travel ideas along the way.

I really like his performance opposite an outstanding Trine Dyrholm in "Love Is All You Need" (English title), a grown-up romantic comedy. Our household will also always love him for Mamma Mia.

I agree. It was superb and uncrowded.

Ditto! My girl seems more chilled than I am. She worked very hard and can be proud of herself whatever the grades, but it feels so consequential. As DD said when choosing Unis last year - "this is going to shape the person I become".

I'm so very sorry. There are no adequate words, but I wanted to thank you for bringing us glimpses of Freya's lovely personality over the years.

Have fun ! A very early memory (with pics to prove it) is going to an equivalent 1975 event somewhere like Shildon with my family. Hoped to get to this too but the true train fans got the tickets faster than I could have imagined.

That's what I thought too.

They would be around the same age, to be fair. But their backgrounds are socially distinct. I don't think Adrian would ever be cool or connected enough to hang out with Bridget. Pandora, on the other hand...

Didn't all dedicated pipe-smokers occasionally set themselves alight back in the day? I seem to recall my grandad having to be quick to quench the embers, and slight scorch marks on some of his jumpers. I still love the smell of pipe-tobacco.

One of our local pubs does a wassail in their cider orchard, but I haven't been, so am not sure if it includes the shooting part!

I was scrolling through Bluesky at the hairdressers this morning and discussed this. We decided this tradition would fit in very well in England (but it's too hilly to be pushing wheelbarrows in Derbyshire, where I live).

I've just looked up "kohltour" and it sounds a really fun tradition. Can't wait to see more. Also, I love to eat kale and cabbage, so am intrigued to see how it's prepared.
