Keen walker, book worm and history buff. Love nature and fascinated by rewilding.
It's good news in theory, but very odd that there was previously a three-line whip against swift boxes. Can anyone explain more about this?

It's the same with cats! 🤷‍♀️

Let's hope it's the former. Appeasing murderous psychopaths doesn't tend to end well...

Utterly repellent. They've lost my vote.

And we have a morally bankrupt government which is happy to help them all the way.

That would have much such a difference and cost so little. I'm guessing the housing industry os so hell-bent on profit that they will happily push to extinction what little nature is left in this country.

I would've written the exact same post, Stew, but you beat me to it. There's something very odd going on here. The previous government was initially in favour, then categorically against. The same with this government. And a three- line whip is so out of proportion to such a little measure...

Ah, Trow Vegas! Yes, it's named after a person 😊

Making your cat look stupid so other people can laugh at it. Well, aren't you clever...

Neither do I. Both this government and the past one have been in favour of swift bricks and then mysteriously decided to block them. I can only assume the housebuilding industry simply can't be bothered and has thrown a lot of cash in the government's direction to make it go away.

I'm still seething about the swift bricks and now this. They're morally bankrupt.

This is the straw that broke the camel's back with this government for me. It's such a little measure and so easy to implement, but instead they've decided to go down in history as the govt that caused the extinction of the swift in the UK. They can go to hell and I'll never vote for them again.

I agree, but who's going to make them?

None of them should be housed at our expense. That family is worth billions.

I've just realised I'm only one or two away. Heavens!

My mum used to cut it into slices and dry it and then add a slice or two when she was making stock.

Either that or a secure psychiatric. He's clearly not well.
