This little guy is from Moss 2. He’s based on a dung beetle. He pushes his rolling cannon around, mounts, and fires it.

I’d animate the bug itself moving. But the way the cannon reacts is nearly 100% generated using my spatial tools. Primarily the physics and aim tools. He was so easy to animate!

Here's my hot take: The magic doesn't always need explaining. It can be weird. Magic can happen because it's right for the moment, for the story. It's magic, not science.
