Hit my minimums today! Fed myself, slept, brushed teeth, took meds, connected socially, did 1 sunsalutation, showered.

Defining my absolute minimums and committing to them has made a huge difference where I’m overwhelmed at work, at home, and with the world. What are your minimums?

Yes, I have a life-size wooden horse that is actually designed to sit on. Of all the crazy things I do I find it hilarious that this is what I have to describe two or three times before people believe me. Our wooden horse needs a name, the top two contenders are Canterbury, or Glue Stick. Any ideas?

Happy Feral Polo ponies coming out of pasture to leg up for the season! (means were cut and tails were trimmed and they look much more professional now) 😜

These two are basically the pony and girl version of eachother. Paige and Poppy/Payasita. Small but mighty. “We do what we want!”, but also sweet and willing. Both of them also have my husband’s number….I’m having a blast watching them together this season.

The acting companies new play “happy birthday Mr. Shakespeare” was amazing. Written and directed by one of the company’s own, it was a unique theater Production celebrating Shakespeare and his lasting impact.

Underrepresentation of docs from the majority sector of the client base we serve is one of the biggest issues in vetmed. Only making education available to those who can pay for it does not work. I want to see similar US med/vetmed #. Don’t be fooled - merit is not enough to be considered equally.

Photographed the JV UC Davis vs Stanford game this weekend and here’s my favs. It’s a pleasure to take pics of people doing what they love with people they care about. It might not be the official I/I regionals but this game captured the spirit of I/I polo imo. Album www.flickr.com/gp/drmelnewt...

Horse color genetics of the day. This is a Perlino. Perlinos are bay horse that carries two copies of the cream gene. The cream gene lightens the body, while generally leaving more pigment in the points. A bay with one cream copy is a buckskin. #horsebowlprep pic from caballoria equest.

This is Poppy, a gem of a polo pony that Fig dragged out for shenanigans every single day of the school break this week. And yet, Poppy met her at the gate with more enthusiasm every day and genuinely seems to like Fig. Will wonders never cease.

Now, the USPS is preparing to push back as Trump moves to dissolve its leadership and bring the independent agency under his administration’s control. America, this cannot be allowed—protecting the USPS is essential.

Please share this and call Congress.

I’m (mostly) blind in one eye and doing exercises like this have helped me re-establish the depth perception/hand eye coordination that went away along with my right eyesight. Quite a humbling experience for a former juggler!

Feb is ALWAYS the hardest month of the year for me to get through mentally, but occasionally there’s a bright spot, like getting all the girls (and boys) out for a sunny green set.
